FAQ
How long does a full home renovation take?
Cosmetic refresh: 3–5 weeks. Mid-level turnkey with new kitchen and baths: 8–14 weeks. Full remodel with layout changes and permits: 4–7 months. Longer projects are broken into phases so you're not without a kitchen or bathroom for the whole run.
Can we live in the house during the remodel?
For most projects, yes — we phase the work so at least one bathroom and a working kitchen (temporary or existing) stay usable. For full gut renovations, we usually recommend relocating for 2–4 weeks of peak disruption.
Do you handle design, or do we need an architect?
For cosmetic and mid-level projects, we work directly from your ideas and material selections. For layout changes, structural walls, or additions, we bring in a licensed architect or structural engineer. Cost is included in the estimate.
Do you offer phased pricing so we can split the project?
Yes. Some clients do kitchen and baths this year, floors and paint next year. We can quote the full plan and lock pricing on phase 1 with a right-of-first-refusal on phase 2.
What about permits and inspections?
Included. We pull permits with your town, coordinate with the building inspector, electrical inspector, and plumbing inspector as needed, and handle sign-offs before final payment.
Do you require milestone payments?
Yes — for projects over $5,000. Our standard policy caps deposits at one-third of the contract price. After that, we work off milestones (demo complete, framing complete, mechanical rough-in, final finish, walk-through) so you never pay ahead of work.
